Kahn’s — an Intel Senior Fellow— keynote at the <a href="http://intelstudios.edgesuite.net/idf_2008/tw/081021_kk/f.htm">Intel Developer Forum Taipei</a>. Kevin works in Intel’s Technology Lab and talked about 40 years of innovation, showed Smart Matter, Wireless electricity, and a robots with a sense of touch. It was Intel SciFi that they’ll eventually make real.</p>

<p>Totally trippy Taipei version of a Halloween parade through the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_Square_(Taipei)">Liberty Square</a>. The parade for me represented Taipei — this crazy old, new, reinventing-itself mix. And in 08, Taipei has become a bike town. The City has spent millions of bike paths and the citizens responded by buying bikes and riding on the paths. I’ve written more about that on <a href="http://bikehugger.com/tag/taipei">Bike Hugger</a>.</p>
<h3>IDF Day Zero</h3>
<p>Tomorrow is Day Zero at the <a href="http://www.apacidf.com/index.htm">Intel Developer Forum Taiwan</a> with lots of technology to blog about. I expect to see a mix of stuff like Taipei itself. We’ve got a <a href="http://texturadesign.com/blog/2008/10/intel_developer_forum_taiwan_b.htm">Blogger Party</a>, the tech showcase, interviews with the keynoters, and also just being at the event.</p>
